History and Accreditation

The Yellow Warriors Society Philippines (YWSP), Inc started as an online group in April 2007 under the name HepBCarrierPhil, which was a virtual venue of sharing, motivating, and inspiring fellow patients to continue with life in spite of the health condition. The pioneer members first met on August 16, 2009 in Intramuros, Manila where the By Laws, Organization Name and Logo was discussed.

On December 20, 2010, YWSP has been formalized as a national organization by having itself duly recognized by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In May 2011, YWSP has been recognized as a voting member of the World Hepatitis Alliance, the global organization of patients with chronic hepatitis based in Geneva, Switzerland.

The founding President of YWSP was elected as the Executive Board Board of World Hepatitis Alliance for Western Pacific Region from 2012 to 2014. In the current election of WHA, the YWSP's second President is again nominated for the position.
